Ain's Real Life

Good work, good food, good life

Good to be here again. Being able to post here meaning, i have some time for myself and a clear, peaceful mind. Hehe.
I wasn't the busiest person in the world last few weeks but there were a lot of things going on at work and at home.

The school had decided to downsize the number of students in my class. So more than half of them were transferred to other classes and i got many new students too. We had to choose the class committee members out of 33 students and i could say it was a good unanimous decision made by all of us. The most important thing, the kids could study in a more comfortable condition.

I think i am behind my schedule since i have a lot of forms due this week. Not good.

Life after work is very good these days, i can say. Family is one of the things that can keep me sane when my work can't. I saw them a lot last week. We ate out too. Trying out new eateries is a fun thing to do but definitely not when you are extremely hungry and to have to risk your tummy to bad recipes and bad service.

I had these yesterday.

My mom runs a small breakfast stall with a roti canai (pronounced row-tee char-naa-i) guy. My mom sells delicious, superb, magnificent nasi lemak (grins) and drinks with the help of father, little brother and little sister. I purposely exeggerated about my mom's nasi lemak because there were people who would come to the stall just for that. I am also a big fan of her cooking. i spend my time there these days, before and after work. I admire my mom's strength to make ends meet. She's not that healthy anymore but she has to work. I just hope that all us, her kids make more money so that none of our parents have to work anymore. Ok, i miss my dad now. Will call him first thing in the morning.

To know them is to love them.

There are 45 kids in my class for me to know and to love. Haha.
Never mind. I have a lot of love to give.

I have a lot to do actually since it's the beginning of the year.

Registration day for form 1

It was the registration day for Form 1.
The kids came from a few feeder schools around Cheras, Selangor.

many of them came as early as 7.15 a.m., most of them with the parents, earlier than many of the teachers. It was scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Well, i was early too. It was good to be early. Yah.. it was. Hehe...

Not many parents accompanied my kids during the registration. For those who came, i advised them to go and come back at 11 a.m. to fetch the kids. hehe. However, most of them waited. of course the kids behaved and i didn't have to do much to control them.

Time was limited and i didn't get to brief them a lot. it was due to the changes in the schedule. They were supposed to have an assembly first in the morning, but it was raining. I only had time until 9.30 a.m. The kids were given 30 minutes for their recess and the assembly was held after that. The kids were introduced to the senior assistants and each of the senior assistants gave their speeches. The good thing was the event ended as scheduled.

I enjoyed my day today at work. I saw many types of faces that i might not see everyday.

I saw the concern faces of parents near the class door and through the window panes. I saw the nervous faces of kids on their first day.
I saw the happy faces of kids who were excited meeting new friends.
I saw the expressionless faces of kids who didn't feel like making friends yet.

Shoot! I gave my cam to my colleague. i didn't get to take pics of my students on their first day. Aight, we'll take next Monday as their first day then. :P

Everyone has their first time in something. It's always good about learning new things.

I am a person who used to write a lot when i was growing up but lost the passion to it because of the time constrain and other commitments. writing itself for me was a form of catharsis when i was in school. i was devoted to my diaries each year then.
